SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Laodicea ad Mare. Geta, 209-211. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 15.07 g, 12 h). ΑΥΤ•ΚΑΙ•ΓЄΤΑC•CЄ• Laureate head of Geta to right. Rev. ΔΗΜΑΡΧ•ЄΞ•ΥΠΑΤΟC ΤΟ Β Eagle with spread wings standing facing, head to left and holding wreath in beak; between the eagle's legs, star. Prieur 1170 (same obverse die). Very rare. The obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, extremely fine.
